The Carmel Tunnels are a unique project in Israel – two underground tunnels connecting the east side of the Carmel with the west side and city center. The tunnels allow incoming traffic to cross the city from Carmel Beach to the industrial zone and Check Post Junction in as little as 4 minutes.
Each tunnel is 5.5 km long, and includes a two lane road, power and water systems, ventilation and safety tunnels connecting the two tunnels. Our firm planned the roads and drainage for the project, and coordinated the work of all secondary consultants.
