Haifa – Planning Traffic Lights at Highway 22 Junction, the Entrance to the Carmel Tunnels and Inbar Street

As part of the effort of connecting Ig’al Yadin Road (Highway 22) to the Carmel Tunnels, we were commissioned to plan the junctions and traffic lights of Ig’al Yadin Interchange (Mavoh Carmel), the access to the tanker terminal and the tunnel entrance. The project included physical planning and traffic engineering, drainage planning and coordination of all systems for the tunnel junction and the access road to the control center, as well as designing the traffic lights for all the junctions involved. The work on the tunnel junction required paying special attention to emergency situations (in the event that the tunnels are closed or evacuated), as instructed by the Israel Police, the Carmel Tunnels and the Haifa Control Center.
